Erfan+Aliza | Heritage Hall & Gastown | Vancouver Wedding Photography

The mystic lights of Gastown glistened on the pavement while the rain continued to fall.  She was glowing, not just from the “pregnancy glow” one gets, but glowing of a woman in love, who was getting ready to marry her soulmate.

I adore this wedding. The details, the families, the couple and just can’t get enough of this “old hollywood, vintage” themed wedding.  You might remember erfan+aliza from their engagement session when we found out their love story started with a conversation over coffee.

Happiness. It’s what we all desire to have and they have found it in each other.

As I walked into the getting ready location, she was practicing her dance moves for the surprise dance at the reception and was beaming with happiness.  Her laced gloves were something borrowed, her teal fur shawl was something blue and as she put on her new pearl necklace and earrings, she was ready for the first look…

Thank you erfan+aliza for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful day. I will always remember how much fun, love & laughter filled the day.  I wish you all the best with your new addition and look forward to meeting you all again soon…

to life-mates, laugh-mates & soul-mates…

xoxo

I love these getting shots, aliza knows how to be a “poser” in front of the camera and she is simply gorgeous…

her gown was the perfect choice…

you’re stunning…

All the flowers were put together by aliza’s mom, Donalda…

they opted for a “first look” as their ceremony was at night and led right into the reception.  I love a first look because it allows the couple to be with their guests directly after the ceremony instead of jetting off for photos.  I always coordinate a special moment for just the two of them before we set out to do their formal portraits…

Gastown, their favorite spot in Vancouver and the perfect setting for their “old hollywood, vintage” theme…

Doesn’t get anymore glamourous than this!

Pure happiness…

The first dance was set to “At Last” by Etta James…

With their favourite colors being teal and all shades of blue, the peacock colors and theme for the reception were perfect…

This special “bollywood inspired” choreographed dance by aliza and her friends was beyond amazing…

I love the bouquet toss…

The next series of images were taken right after ceremony as erfan+aliza made their exit down the aisle, we ended up finding this sign right out front of the Heritage Hall and couldn’t resist, I adore these!

To view more of their day, click on the slideshow…there were so many images I wanted to post so you’ll just have to view the show to see the rest! Congratulations again! xoxo
