The air smelt of fresh rain, clean and crisp, while the sun started to peak out through the clouds. While the rain pelted down in the morning, the sun beamed just in time for “the first look” and the ceremony!
jason+fiona opted for a “first look”. This is where the bride+groom have a special meeting spot for the two of them before the ceremony so the formal pictures can be done prior to the ceremony. After all, it is the first time he gets to see his bride before they say “I do” and doing a first look gives the couple plenty of time to enjoy the cocktail hour or dive right into the reception and mingle with their guests. More and more couples are going in this direction and I love this approach.
She was a true vision. With a birdcage veil, soft makeup (by Jasmine Hoffman) and a beautiful dress from Bella Sposa, her smile beamed from ear to ear.
The ceremony took place at the Vancouver Rowing Club, a gorgeous location in Stanley Park. With handpainted shoes, flowers in hand, she breathed quietly to herself, whiped her tears and got ready to start a new chapter in her life.
Congratulations to you both jason+fiona!! May you have happiness+sunshine always.
