dave+shauna’s wedding | South Bonson Community Center | Pitt Meadows + Vancouver Wedding Photography

“I can’t replace your mother, but I promise to love you as though you were my own” said shauna as she said her vows to their children. During the ceremony dave+shauna had all three of their children stand in a circle, holding hands with one another and pledged a vow to each other. It was beautiful to witness. Each girl was given a bracelet with the inscription “Love Grows Love” to symbolize the union of forever.

“Love grows Love” quickly became the theme of this beautiful day.

The morning was crisp and wet, why wouldn’t it be, “they” called for thunderstorms all weekend! No worries, plan B (yes we always have a plan B for rain) was going to be in full swing, but I showed up to the getting ready location with a cool warm breeze that refreshed your face and the sun shined from the first look right to the end of the ceremony.

The wedding took place at the South Bonson Community Center in Pitt Meadows, a countryside so breathtaking with a modern chic twist. With colors of lemon and lime, hand made center pieces with planted grass, a candy bar filled with green and yellow sweets and a rice crispy cake, their details we nothing short of spectacular. DIY (DO-It-Yourself) brides, this wedding has tones of ideas!

I am grateful to have captured your story. May “love grow love” always.

xoxo

I love the series of images below representing the first look!

One of my favorites from the day…

Ahhh, i love this capture below!

One of my new favorite detail shots!!

shauna, you are stunning.

As the forecast was supposed to rain, the coffe shop was our back-up plan. Even though it was sunny, we couldn’t resist snapping a few!

The details shauna+dave put into their reception were amazing. Mostly DIY (Do-It-Yourself) ideas and were done to perfection.  Her colors of lemon and limes carried through everywhere.

Hand made center pieces with fresh grass planted in baskets. So original and unique!

I’ve seen candy bars, but not like this! So detailed and carefully hand picked candy treats to match their colors of lemon and limes!

ok for real!? have you ever seen a more unique wedding cake!? I love it. Rice crispy cake done up beautifully.

I love this moment and I am thankful for beautiful light!

Oh there’s the rain! As I ended my coverage we headed outside for few! After all, she did have the best cowboy gumboots, green of course!
