Something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue started off the details on this day. With tear drop pearl earrings, her mom wore at her wedding (something old), an old pearl necklace, borrowed from her bridesmaid’s mother, her ruffled, sweetheart and elegant gown (something new) and we’ll just keep her something blue a mystery, Carla was ready and beaming to meet her man.
The wedding took place at the Museum of Vancouver outside on the terrace surrounded by the love of close friends and family. With the city skyline, birds chirping by the lagoon and gorgeous luscious greenery in the background, they became husband+wife.
With the Lords Prayer finishing off the ceremony, they kissed and melted into each other. It was one of the most beautiful, simple and elegant ceremonies I have witnessed.
For all you future brides looking for DYI (Do It Yourself) ideas, Carla was in charge of all her details and did an amazing job! The center pieces were elegantly displayed with floating candles, her seating chart matched her “paper crane” name card holders and the table names were tree names from the streets where matt+carla live. I love that personal touch! The cake was made by Matt’s mother and they even brought in a smoked salmon that was caught by a friend from his stag party! Now that’s creative!
May your lives be blessed with happiness+love+laughter…always.
xoxo
